This can be done with cms:query as well. Consider the following sample where my_page_id - is some page_id which you want to use to get title and name of that page.
Code: Select all

<cms:query
    sql="SELECT
              page_title AS k_page_title,
              page_name AS k_page_name
        FROM <cms:php>echo K_TBL_PAGES;</cms:php>
        WHERE id='<cms:show my_page_id />'
        AND publish_date < NOW()
        AND NOT publish_date = '0000-00-00 00:00:00';"
>

    <cms:show k_page_title />-<cms:show k_page_name /><br/>

</cms:query>

Also I know that you might be interested in modified <cms:get_custom_field /> tag, which can take id as parameter viewtopic.php?f=8&t=10266:
<cms:get_custom_field 'blog_post' masterpage='blog.php' id='2272455' />

Alternatively, it is possible to create a <cms:get_system_field /> alike. It will certainly look more couch-way.
