Okay i'm using a editable for a securefile upload. Now the image is set to resize and create a smaller image. is there away of removing the original image once databound has uploaded and resized without manual removal

There is only one image in the equation - the image saved by securefile. You can consider it to be the original image (albeit resized to specs). So, you don't need to manually remove anything.
