Do you have any idea as to why i am not able to go from sandbox to the real PayPal server even when i have changed the '1' to '0' in the config file? I am not using caching at the moment, so I'm having trouble figuring out what the problem is..

Can you please let me know if you are using Paypal button or CouchCart?

Oops, I intended to include that but forgot..
But I am using the CouchCart payment gateway tag to redirect to Paypal (<cms:pp_payment_gateway ...... />

Ok. The setting for CouchCart is in 'couch/addons/cart/config.php' and not 'couch/config.php' (which has the setting for PayPal button).
Are you sure you are changing the right file?

You're right, I was configuring the wrong file. I had forgotten all about the other one since it was quite a while since i started messing with PayPal and setting up the values, but it is fine now
