I'm interested in locally installing my site into a tablet and running it fullscreen using a kiosk app. Will this webserver app work? I has PHP and Mysql, but I don't know if couch will like the server side of it since it's not apache.

Hi,

The product's description mentions it containing two web-servers -
lighttpd server v1.4.35 (SSL)
nginx v1.7.3 (SSL)

Couch is known to work on both, so you can give it a try.
Do let us know how it goes.
Awesome! I also found this one:

Lighttpd is bundled.

Would by chance know of any way to do something like this on iOS? I'm a bit torn over buying a device... I want ipad look and feel, but I can't seem to find much on running a server stack on it... and it's apple... not the most open :/
Unfortunately, I'm not an Apple guy :(
Perhaps our members could help answering this query.
I've had some interest in doing that when I bought iPad mini one year ago. The only way to add a full web stack is to jailbreak the device. I am really not into that hackerish/jailbreak stuff, I only bought the iPad to test my websites on it, so I lost interest.

But when searching the net, I've found some solutions, this is one of them. I think it fits the bill perfectly, if you jailbreak the tablet :)
