I know that you have been told about the footer not validating on W3 but also the captcha in the comments form does not validate also. it is using & instead of & in the link for the source of the captcha image

can you point out where in the couch code the captcha is so i can make the necessary change

I think that would be in 'couch/field.php' line 999.

That said, I'd suggest you use other methods of spam protection. Catptcha is dead -
