I know this maybe a strange question but i was wondering how you would go about Externally uploading images.

I'm currently building a social website. They submit their own content however to save server disk space i was looking down the route of having the person submitting their content upload image to another website like Flickr and linking the image code.

What would you advise i do. at this moment I'm getting them to past the link, however maybe i could get a code to work that would grab the image code via my website. Not sure if you could do anything with flickr https://www.flickr.com

Services like imgur provide APIs to seamlessly upload photos directly from your website (not sure but, I think, they charge for this facility).

Have you investigated those?

I've never looked into this, do you believe this is the best option?
