first time after setting up credentials right and creating the database - and having them semi-successfully talk. I say semi successful cause the installation was missing images but still allowed me to create a master admin account..

now it says cookies must be enabled when I try to log in (I don't even know why I kept going) when the installation looked wonky (missing images)..

This is a godaddy install.

Please any help would be great I'll upload any files and PM any credentials needed

I did a view-source of the page you mentioned and found that the links in there do not match your site's address e.g. the link to the missing logo is -

http://a1280-battery.com/a1280/GPk31337/couch/logo.php

whereas it should really have been

http://a1280-battery.com/GPk31337/couch/logo.php

Please try manually specifying the URL to use in couch/config.php file. Uncomment (i.e. remove the leading double-slash from the hilighted line shown below and

// 1.
// If neccesary, define the full URL of your site including the subdomain, if any.
// V.IMP: Don't forget the trailing slash!
//define( 'K_SITE_URL', 'http://www.test.com/subfolder1/subfolder2/mysite/' );

and make it

define( 'K_SITE_URL', 'http://a1280-battery.com/GPk31337/' );
