Hi,

I have a really basic question, but it's stumping me.

How can I use the CouchCMS admin interface to delete an image file that I have uploaded to the uploads directory on the server?

I don't want my client to have to use FTP to remove unnecessary files, and I can't figure out how to do this (apparently) really simple thing via the CouchCMS admin panel.

Any tips?

Thanks,

Nikki
Open the finder by clicking "Browse Server" in any image field. Find the image you want to remove, right-click and select "Delete."

You can right-click to perform certain folder operations also.
Hi Tim,

Thanks for that.

I'm feeling a bit confused because when I do that, I get the browser's right-click context menu, and not an option to delete a file (or any other folder operations). This happens in Chrome, Firefox and IE.

Could it be something to do with the version of FCKeditor that my CouchCMS instance is using?

I'm really not sure what's going on. I feel like I'm missing something really obvious :)

Thanks,

Nikki
You want to upgrade to the newer KCFinder filemanager.

Ah, thank you.

Unfortunately I can't do that because my client has not authorised me to do any more work on her site, and frankly, we have something that is working well otherwise, so I don't want to risk breaking it.

I'll just have to use FTP for now.

Thanks for your help,

Nikki
KCFinder is much nicer. Much, much nicer. So when you get a chance or for new sites, make the upgrade. Your client will be thankful for the improvement.
