I have removed template groups from the code and I can still see them in the admin panel even though when I edit or delete other elements they seem to be updating fine.

I am currently working with CouchCMS version 1.3.5 but I've updated to 1.4 temporarily and the problem persists.

That is quite strange.

If there is not much existing data in cloned-pages, you can try removing all regions from the template (and recreate them later).

If that is not an option, please use phpMyAdmin and remove the fields straight from the database - 'couch_fields' is the table you'll find the info in.
It'd be a good idea to take a backup of the database before manipulating it.
