Hello. I'm at the moment just exploring with Couch and I'm having difficulty trying to get it to connect to the database with bluehost. The error I receive:

Could not connect to database

Access denied for user 'admin'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

Any idea on how to fix this?

Hi,

Your host provider would the right person to resolve this problem as it has nothing to do with Couch (try installing any other script that uses the database and you'll get the same error).

If you wish, you can send me your CPanel (or whatever you use to manage your site and database) and I'll try to rectify it.

Thank you for trusting me with the creds.

I had a look and as it turns up, you were using the wrong db_name and db_user in config.php.
I have put the right values in and you can now go ahead and complete the installation.

Feel free to let me know if you need any help with Couch.

Hi, I have set my credentials in the config.php file correctly still i cannot get the database to connect.

I am using windows hosting wherein I have resolved that by following your instructions on this thread -

The only guess I can hazard is that the database creds you are using are not correct.
Maybe you should confirm it with your host.
