Hi All,

I have my "test CouchCMS site" hsoted on my server at godaddy.com

I had no problems installing a MySQL Database there specifically for use with CouchCMS. The database is fully installed and working.

I am at the beginning of the whole process of trying to get CouchCMS installed. I changed the MySQL Database settings in config.php before uploading it. No problem. Everything was done correctly on my end.

However, my next step is to get CouchCMS installed by going to http://www.mytestsite.com/couch (Where "mytestsite is my domain).

When I go to that URL, I get the following error message:

"Site error: the file /home/content/j/b/r/jbraden37/html/tutorial/couch/index.php requires the ionCube PHP Loader ioncube_loader_lin_5.2.so to be installed by the site administrator."

The actual URL I'm using to get to it is: http://www.jbradenproductions.com/tutorial/couch/

I am simply trying to setup CouchCMS for the first time on the server.

Godaddy has the latest versions of MySQL and PHP-5 installed on my account.

Can anyone please help me with this as I really want to use CouchCMS?

Thanks

I am sorry, but I really have no idea what you are talking about.

What do I get and how/where exactly do I install it?

Thanks

go to http://www.ioncube.com/loaders.php

now choose: Linux (x86) and upload it to your site i suggest use each of the Linux ones if one of them doesn't work. The file specifies for a Linux .so file

I see that KK the moderator is not replying at leat say something :)
Hi Braden,

As the first step in resolving the situation, you can use the wizard script provided by ioncube that should further guide you.
Our documentation (http://www.couchcms.com/docs/requirements.html) has a section on this but I'll repeat the steps here -
1. Please download the zip (http://www.ioncube.com/loader-wizard/loader-wizard.zip) containing the wizard. Extracting the archive will yield a folder named ioncube.
2. Place the folder, along with its contents, into your local website.
3. Launch the Loader Wizard script in your browser. For example: http://yourdomain/ioncube/loader-wizard.php
Follow the steps as directed by the wizard.

Godaddy is notorious for its policy of not officially supporting IonCube loaders but people have managed to get it working, as can be seen from ioncube's forum -
http://forum.ioncube.com/viewtopic.php?t=1481
http://forum.ioncube.com/viewtopic.php?p=4326#4326

In case you have any difficulty, please PM me your FTP credentials and I'll try and get ioncube working (but I cannot guarantee it because of godaddy's policies)
thanks

But where at my FTP Server do I upload it to?

jbradenproductions.com/ ?

jbradenproductions.com/tutorial/Aurelius/couch ?

Thanks
if you already have a ioncube file in the "root" then put it in there if you dont hav a ioncube folder put on in the "root" where all the normal files would go.

so it would be like mysite.com/ioncube/loader-wizard.php
skynight007 is absolutely right.
