Hi,

I tried and change a picture on one of my pages, but when I opened the image editor, it tried to open its template files folder... where I have 40,000 images (it is a library). Result: it is stuck.

Is there any way to modify Kcfinder to open on the root folder, instead of the current one?

I found nothing on the forum, I will search on the docs for KCF, but in case someone has done the trick already.

Cheers,
Paolo
Moving files elsewhere temporarily would allow to open the location in KCFinder, once you are done move files back.

Paths are stored in session, btw, so perhaps clearing cookies would reset the directory to root (plus the button must have no path in URL e.g. Browse on a clean input). KCFinder's source code is in couch/includes/, so perhaps you look there to force the root dir. Again, moving files should be quick and easy.

Ad: I have a validator addon ("Kaa-renamer") that connects to image-type fields and auto-renames files upon uploading. So, it can auto-place images to subfolders based on any keyword, like date, values of other fields on page, autonumber of repeatable row or mosaic tile. For sites with thousands uploaded images, I give a tested script that renames existing simple images, images in repeatable and mosaic according to a rule.
