Hello and thanks for CouchCMS. I've not used Couch yet, but I like the look of it. I see the docs state that I must rename files from .html to .php. But retro-fitting Couch into an old site, it would be better for me if the file extensions could remain the same.

Through htaccess I can get Apache to serve .html files as php files. This would mean the existing site could retain its filenames, and php would still run. So would that suffice? Or does Couch absolutely insist that filenames must end in .php?

Thanks.
Hi,

If you can get PHP to execute without using a .php extension, I don't see why Couch would complain.

The proof of the pudding, however, is in the eating - so you will to try it out for yourself.
I'd be interested in knowing how it goes, so please keep me posted if possible.

Thanks.
