I am trying to achieve this: Be able to change the cart level discount and add an expiring date from the admin panel instead of manually changing it inside the cart_config file and upload to my website everytime. I want to be able to do some discount sakes every now and then.
My initial solution was this:
1. I create a non-clonable template: discount_promo.php that has an end date field and discount value editable fields.
2. I created a discount_promo session on the discount_promo.php and used it inside the get_discount() function in the cart_ex.file.
However the calculation sometimes work but most of the time it doesn't work.
I'm I doing the right thing? If No, I will need help on how to accomplish this in the proper way.
