How do I generate random numbers and alphabets and added to email sent to client when they fill and submit shop order checkout form
A general approach is to use Couch tag <cms:random_name />.
Tailored strings would require a bit of PHP.
Hi trendoman, how do I use this in my case. Want I want to achieve is this: I am using the couch cart. When a buyer is done shopping and checks out, he is not sent to PayPal but rather his order is sent as an email to me with a generated ID added to the email and one is sent to him too. I want buyers to pay me via mobile money. Whiles paying the money I want the buyer to add the generated ID as reference so that I will be able to cross-check with the email I got to make sure indeed the buyer actually has paid before shipping the order. I hope you get me
Yeah, I get you. We can use a special field within the PayPal transaction to send generated ID along with the payment info back and forth. You'll be able to have the order marked as paid (I assume that orders are being saved in backend). My offer is $120 for this job any day of the week.
