Dear Kamran,
After having experienced the same matter, and before reading this post, i went into the database to delete all data related to the template page...
Working but boring!
I did not try your solution but don't you think just adding a dedicated checkbox into the admin panel to cancel the file will be the easiest solution ?
(I am not a developer, so maybe this suggestion is inappropriate...)
Great stunning piece of work anyway, i am seriously thinking to implement it on my own website.
Thank you for that

Hi Eric :)

Could you please let me know a bit more about the context of your message? Clearly it is regarding an existing thread but I am unable to figure out which one.

Thanks
Yes, sorry my post was not clear (used new topic instead of "reply" )
I refer to a message posted march 2015, 18 on the forum:

How to delete the template created in admin panel? I already remove the [?php require_once( '../couch/cms.php' ); ?] from template and refresh the page, it does not remove the template from admin panel.

Your answer was:
Try removing the physical file from its original location temporarily (or rename it for a little while). Couch should sense that the original template file is gone and <strong>prompt you to remove the cloned-pages (if any exist) and then the template itself from the admin-panel.

Followed by my own question:

Hope this is more readable.
Thank you

@prolegomenes, unfortunately such comfort is available somewhere else, but CouchCMS is not a European product. Where it comes from, people prefer to do things manually, including creating-deleting files even during development stage :? probably because there's a lot of extra hands.
So bear with it for some time. I was clearly told that auto-creating files in some directory on server is unacceptable (for some other request), hence auto-deleting is also a way off the current trends.

Thank you for your quick answer. I appreciate. I will bear with it, don't worry :D
just a few words about your reply in which I feel a bit anger.
Europe is out for innovations. The country where I live since 9 years is not very far from your and their people have even more of extra hands than in India. And we are all working hard to have a better life too.
I love dev community because people don't care where you are coming from. We all work in a world environment is not it ?
Thanks again to give such a nice works to this world community.
Eric
@prolegomenes, thanks for the brief intro with your view on the matter. I agree that we all work everywhere and while operating internationally react locally. I mean that people have their modus vivendi and tend to respond according to the background. It's all about personal bounds that shaped (and limited) the present form of this CMS.

Edit: all personal issues are rooted in society and are hard to overcome. I'm sure @KK understands that and that was probably the reason he went open-source with CouchCMS. Because with a larger installation base, personal preferences of main developer start to impose artificial laws to the evolving body of this product. CouchCMS is a born baby, with a few hundreds devs registered on forum, which had already lost many opportunities because of 'views' and 'opinions'.

Anyway, you can take a look how feature requests are treated here. Won't quote anything yet - it's enough to see that feature requests board (or better say cemetery) shows that most of them are left unanswered or forgotten. People react according to the treatment and I'm a bit angry to what I receive as well. We have some rare new voice that registers on forum and comes with 'amazing' and 'cool CMS' in comments, but we won't ever know how much it could have been bigger with a decent treatment.
