I am trying to add City and State information in the admin panel. I tried to generate the city and state information as stated in this thread. http://www.couchcms.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1671&p=2483&hilit=dynamic%3D'opt_values'

Then I wondered, can I use ajax to populate the dropdown lists in the admin backend? Because adding 80+ values to a dropdown itself is not that nice

I use also some solution for state, substate, city. 80 values is a very low number, no problem to handle. My cities list is about 2k. The only adequate option would be using relations, which is simple, reliable and comfortable to manage. And if you request number of items in a certain city - with relation it's much faster than with custom dropdown field.
