Hi, i finally putted one Couch site online(just a little redesign of the tutorial theme, for a friend), and while Couch installed perfrectly, there is one problem.
When trying to add picture for a blog post i get this warning when clicking on browse server button in front-end:

The server didn't reply with a proper XML data. Please check your configuration.

Is it something related to my server(maybe to set some permissions), or is it something wrong with my installation of couch?

Thanks,
Mirko
Hi,

Looks like a Read/Write permission issue.
Please try setting the permissions on 'couch/uploads' folder to 755.

Do let me know if you still have any problems.
Thanks for the quick reply, but the problem still persists. The default permission is set to 755, and i even changed it to 777, but no luck.
Any toughts what could it be?
Could you PM me your FTP + Couch creds please? I'll need to take a look myself to see what is going wrong.
Thanks
Thanks for realising that somehow upload.php wasn't uploaded on the server.
Now everything works fine.
Thanks :)
Hello I have the same problem, my upload file is 755 but I cant upload any images, please help!!!
Hi Carmen,

Could you please try using the new FileManager (viewtopic.php?f=6&t=7712) ?

If the problem persists, please PM me your site's FTP creds and I'll try to troubleshoot the issue.

Thanks.
The solution I found was, intstall the new version of couch and change the folders to 755. Mi upload problem desapear!!! :D
I have updated folder permissions..and some times working fine and some times i am getting same error "The server didn't reply with a proper XML data. Please check your configuration." while tying to upload image..
Hello,

Having this same issue. What are the troubleshooting tips other than changing the upload plug-in?

Also, is couch not compatible for PHP 5.5.

Regards,

Husein
