Hey, sorry to be that guy but is there any ETA'ish on when the new Admin panel will be released? I am eagerly waiting for a responsive mobile-friendly admin panel. On one project I have, a mobile friendly admin panel is a requirement, and I would still love to use Couch on it.

So far it is looking like it will never happen. Been seeing "coming soon" messages for ages now. Please make it come soon! For a new improved admin panel I would gladly pay double for the script!

I can't speak for KK however i know this feature is coming soon, and i can understand your pain when using a mobile to view the admin panel. However do stick with it. And i'm sure KK can answer some of your issues.
You can craft your own admin panel if you want. Go get a fancy admin panel template, and use route and databound to get a CRUD.
As soon as possible!

Agree! It is even better approach. Create a admin area with essentials to edit on mobile screen. And leave standard admin panel as is to use on bigger screens.
I will definitely go this way, even if the new admin comes out today. Nicely customized page with what is really needed for content manager is a good design style.

I'm looking to get a admin panel template... are there any tutorials/documentation out there about grabbing the admin info and tagging it within the template?? just like we do with the normal couch tags? or is it more involved than that?

Theres a lot tutorial inside here. Also theres a docs. Go search "databound form". You can implement it to get Custom Admin Panel. Its not literaly admin panel, but you can implement it for custom admin panel. Good luck!
