menu still doesn't show up in the mobile view in safari, obviously affecting the site, why is this beyond the scope of Couch? can you help sorting this out?

btw what is freenode IRC channels?

cheesypoof wrote: As implied in my previous post, you have a JavaScript event listener bound to clicks on the social links. It is that JS which is interfering with the default behavior (with target="_blank") of opening the page in a new window/tab.

In Firefox, right click on a link, hit Q to inspect the element and you will see "ev" next to it. Click on that icon to pinpoint the responsible script.

I don't have access to non-iOS Safari. Nevertheless, this is outside the scope of Couch. In the past I have had success consulting some of the freenode IRC channels. I am sure they won't disappoint...
It is not lost on me that, as you have stated, you are encountering a cross-browser compatibility issue with your front end design. I also have told you that I do not have access to a debug-friendly Safari browser, and as such, cannot help you.

Furthermore, the support component of this forum is intended to help with the implementation and use of Couch. It is not fair or reasonable to expect assistance with matters that are not closely related to the CMS. We unfortunately have only finite time in a day; without appropriate limits on what is supported, this forum would not be sustainable.

As suggested, there are other avenues for obtaining the type of help you requested. Some that come to mind are Stack Overflow and the freenode chat network previously mentioned - http://lmgtfy.com/?q=freenode+irc.
