Just one question I forgot to ask of like Web plus the folder structure is different does the couch folder still go into the root or into whichever has the web pages in it.
Thanks for the speedy reply. Magic. :D

Never touch the Web plus :(

But, here is image from couch documentation section :

You need to upload "couch" folder to your web server, which already contains your static html site, and the uploaded couch folder is your site's admin section.
As soon as possible!

Fantastic thanks very much for your patience and sorry for all the questions. I have been looking for something like this for months as I also use wordpress but you can't always make it look the way you want so couchcms is perfect. May invest in a licence when I get the hang of it.
Thank you again.

Hi sorry to be such a pest. I was wondering if the two editable area tags have to go with certain html labels ie div etc. I have tried this page http://fonesnpcs.co.uk/test/
But the text seems to be away up at the top.
Thanks for any help whatsoever.
Thankyou :)

Editable regions don't really care where you use them.

Please do a view-source and see that the output in source is exactly where you used the editable region.
The reason why in the rendered HTML the text is appearing on top is a CSS issue of your design (specifically - all the sibling DIVs are positioned absolutely and so this text floats up to the very top of the parent DIV).

Hope this helps.
That was a text object that I inserted on the page. Maybe need to try something else. Experiment.

Hi again sorry to be such a pest.
I was just wondering in general what web editor most people used. I think webplus is proving to be a bit of a pain to insert the cms. Serif do have their own cms now but I liked couchy better and was going to persist in getting it going or even change from webplus. I think its is the dev tag that's causing the problem have tried in other places but still get the text at the top issue. If it means getting a licence for more support that's fine.

hi Alan, I took up @cheesypoof's recommendation of http://brackets.io/ for my text editor. It is far more than a text editor though and has some really useful functionality thrown in. It's free - give it a go.
Alan, I'll second @potato's recommendation.

Broadly speaking, Couch is directed towards those web designers who hand-code their HTML.
HTML generated by tools, like the one you are using, will likely have its own quirks that you'll have to contend with (again, as you have experienced).
Oh Thankyou I will have a look at the eitor and see how I get on.

Ok after a lot of head scratching managed to get cms going. :D trusty old dreamweaver. I made page as normal in webplus then opened it in dreamweaver. Combination of absoloute positioning and <section> low and behold.
Thanks for all your patience.
Just one more thing, :D can you make the area with side bars which adjust to the amount of text on the page? If not too bad.
