Can i edit the search function on a specific page to just search for a search string in a selected group of database fields? ie:

1) news article title - SEARCH
2) news article body - SEARCH
3) news article by x person - DO NOT SEARCH
4) news article link - DO NOT SEARCH

please let my know if this is possible.

The search function is a 'full page' search. So, I am afraid, we cannot make it granular.
