Hi,

I have a couple of questions regarding the commercial licence.

1. Will a single licence cover multiple domain names?
2. Say a site has multiple languages that require multiple installation of Couch, will it count as one website or multiple websites?

Thanks
Rudy
Hi Rudy,

The commercial license is per domain.
Here is a link to the license - http://www.couchcms.com/commercial.html

Hope that answers your query.
Thanks for the reply KK.

How about for multiple domain names that point to the same website?

For example: domainname.info, domainname.net, domainname.org all alias to domainname.com
If you're just doing a redirect on all those domains, you won't even have Couch installed on those, will you? You'll only have one Couch installation on .com and therefore only the need for one commercial license.
I agree with @krisdoff - if effectively you have a single installation (just being accessed by different names) a single commercial license will do.

Similarly, the second kind of site you mentioned -
a site has multiple languages that require multiple installation of Couch
is still a single domain name despite using multiple installations. So, again, just a single license would do.

Hope this clarifies your doubts.

Finally, thank you for considering getting a commercial license - it does support the development of Couch :)
