Hi ,
I have successfully installed Couch CMS and have the blank admin page up OK.

I have renamed my about.html page to about.php as per tutorial.

When I try to bring about.php up in a browser I get

Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /about.php on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Can you help me with this?

The error you mentioned is a tricky one and can really be caused due to several reasons.

The best way to know exactly what is troubling the web-server would be to take a look at its 'error log' (can usually be accessed from the CPanel). Please take a look at it and let me know what it reports.
This will give us a solid lead to pursue.

In the meanwhile, I suggest you also please download and use the utility we have here - viewtopic.php?f=8&t=7315.
It'll will set the proper permissions for your files as I've seen this to be one of the reasons for the error you mentioned.

Hi, Thanks for getting back to me.

I spoke to my hosts and I still had a .htaccess file in the root folder, I deleted this and all come good.

I'll get back into the tutorial, thanks
