As of v1.3.5, Couch still does not have the facility to allow deletion of uploaded images from the admin panel. This will change with the upcoming 1.4 that has a new file-explorer featuring all expected functions (including thumbnail preview etc.).

Yes, it has been implemented but will make it debut only with 1.4.
As to when that would be - I really cannot commit to a date. I can just say that the coding is complete and I am trying to force myself into creating some kind of documentation
