Personally, I keep prospective purchases on disk as links to webpages (or bookmarks in browser), because I'm not a person tasked with procurement, however I can see potential of adding Items to different carts in browsing catalogs just once.
Perhaps, family members sharing a single account (e.g. accumulating points) is the main audience.
