Hi folks,
I've implemented a site with Couch and it was a real success. And easy to use!
Now I am looking at something far more complex and wonder if Couch is suitable.
It is a site for a golf association centenary. It will incorporate 100 years of championship and inter-county team match data with for example over 1200 player records. I will need to set it up so there can be searches by player, by home club, by year etc. Players are related to clubs of which there are 120.
So this will require dynamic pages to show for example player records, players by club, championship winners etc.
Is this possible with Couch? Is there a facility to import csv files and set up relationships etc to run queries?
I'd like to use Couch as there will also be a number of "standard" pages for which Couch is perfect and easy for non-technical people to add / edit articles.
I'd really appreciate some advice.
cheers
Jerry
Hi, @JerryDi
Yes, Couch can handle couple of thousands pages with ease. Relations can be set up and multiple queries available to implement filters. Please study docs and forum posts, for example this one will be very good for queries: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=8581&p=16352#p16352 (enhanced cms:pages)
You are welcome to ask for a full or partial assistance for this 'centenary' project.

P.S. The answer to the topic question - Yes, given your input, CouchCMS is very good for this job. Once the design is approved, coding can be very quick.

thanks @ trendoman
I am still cleansing the data, but I'll try and run a small trial with sample data soon to see how I manage. It looks promising!
