I just wondered if it was possible to add a visual composer / page builder to couch?

I know we have the onpage editor which is create but I'd love to see this taken one step further to allow the client to actually build their page by predefined elements and columns.

I guess this could be achieved by using bootstrap for the columns and rows and the snippet function of couch to define the elements.

The hard bit would be fitting it all together and creating a smooth interface.

Ideally I would want to offer my clients the same experience as if they were using Visual Composer Plugin for Wordpress (http://codecanyon.net/item/visual-compo ... ess/242431)

See attached screenshots

Any thoughts?

EDIT: This looks like a really good example could it be integrated into couch? http://codecanyon.net/item/html-builder ... on/8432859

If a client can create html pages/elements and pages are integrated in CMS already - then why to hire you, my friend?

I see that you don't fully understand the purpose of CouchCMS. Being overwhelmed with boxes and rectangles visual redactors provide, you forget about Creative Designs.

While Couch does have shortcodes and snippets to easily add information content in a variety of styles and looks into predefined places on the website, it remains to be an information management tool, in my mind at least. CMS needs a place to put all those cloned pages of products, blog posts, texts, images etc. And such a place is created by you, not client.

To run away from a theoretical talk, let's see this realistic website theme: http://ready.ml/game
This is a Revelio Theme. Check it and you'll see there is no place for the client to interfere at all. Only create *content*, leaving designs to the theme itself. Theme has a forum, member area, lots of features.
And I'm sure no creative mind would like to have a pyramid of stacked elements on their website. To contrary, I for example like something like this:

and this is a perfect place for couchcms to step in.
Yeah I guess your right...

I just have a few competitors offering this to their clients so thought if we could offer the simplicity of managing their website to the point of them being able to build new pages it'll be a bonus.

They would still need me to build the elements that put the page together. But ofcourse it will cut the need for me after the site is done. But that's a usp :)
