Okay so I've used the exact code from the documentation but I think there has been a field missed out to set date for future events?

How can we alter this so that we have a field for Event date and the events are then put onto the calendar under the specific date set?

EDIT: I just noticed you can use the advanced settings and future set the publish date. Any way to get this editable field into the actual page with the rest of the editable fields? Instead of pressing the advanced dropdown?
