I'm getting bombarded with contact form email spam. My old site had no validation required and I never got spam like this. Any ideas? I require all forms to be filled in. Do I really need to add a question challenge?

Forgive me if I am wrong but I am assuming the question you have in mind is whether switching to Couch has got to do something with the spam.

I can only assure you that an unprotected form up on the Internet is simply waiting to be discovered by spammers. And once it is discovered, the floodgates open.

No CMS can possibly prevent spammers from *using* the form - all it can do is reject the unwanted submissions.

And for this you'll have to put the protections in place.
I agree with Tom - you should definitely use the two measures mentioned in the last two posts of the thread. Those are totally unobtrusive and your (legitimate) visitors won't even notice them.
